Jujutsu Kaisen didn’t get its hype mainly due to the Anime. There were two light novels already released. Soaring Summer and Returning Autumn (2019) and The Path of Roses at Dawn (2020.) Both had been an excellent entry point into the world of Shounen. However, the Anime version just refines them to a whole other level.

The Anime’s hype went straight up over 9000! However, when the manga was first released in 2018, it didn’t attract much audience. Well, 600k copies at the peak aren’t bad. However, it isn’t good for the level of action we were going to see.
